Happy New Year

Well the Christmas season is over and the New year has began. Not much goin on here at the moment it's just cold. Kids had a good Christmas, I think I was more excited about them opening their gifts than they were. Sadly now I have more stuff than I have room to put it now seems like. I'm not working at the moment but my wife took a slightly better paying position at work so everything is ok. Money is a little tight but that's nothing new and I'm sure were not the only ones to ever experience that. Still playing my video games, I'll talk more about that on the gaming page. And as far as my poems go the well has been dry for awhile but then again I really haven't been putting much effort into it so... Hopefully in the near future I'll some "exciting" things to write about *wink*.

Finally a New post

Been awhile since I've posted. Been very busy w/ work and as much as I like the job it's tiring. Basically everything is goin fine same ole stuff just a different day.
Kids have been sick so that's been mental challenging trying not to be cross w/ them lol. As far as FFXI goes i've gotten into pankration. Left my Old linkshell for a new one, which was crazy. I mean i'm happy with the new shell but seems like alot of drama for a video game when i left the other one. Anyway i'm goin to try to get some new pics/screenshots up sometime in the next couple weeks.. and what not, that's bout all i got for now.

Finally, work has arrived

Well, today my boss called me to tell me that he found some work. I guess I should point out that I work for a couple brick layers and we ran out of work a few months ago. I wasn't sure if they were gonna find anymore but finally they have. Not sure how much fun this is going to be considering I've been just hanging around the house mostly. Also, they mentioned that they may have to hire me some help which could be good or bad. On the one hand someone to help out with my job duties would be nice, but on the other hand if there's so much work that it's gonna take 2 people to keep up then.. well that could potentially be bad. I guess all in all it don't matter cause i finally get to work and my wife can relax a little.

About the "rules" of Poetry

Well here I am wondering what I"m doing on this computer of mine.. Well I was reading some poetry and comments regarding said poetry and noticed a few comments here and there that I didn't like, which in turn made me start thinkin. So here I am to vent... I believe most people to be too critical of amateur poetry or maybe just poetry in General . I mean who's to say what makes a poem, a poem. And who's to say what makes a poem worthy to be called art or a masterpiece. Some say that a poem must come from the heart and be sincere in the emotions that has been poured into it from the writer and let whoever reads it take from it what they will, while other say that a poem must be carefully thought out, planned, worked on for hours or days etc. etc. etc. and that it must pull the reader in, and force the reader to feel the exact emotion that the writer wants them to.. Me personally I write how I feel, my poetry is not forced, I guess you could say it just kinda "Flows". However, I don't think that any particular style is better than another , I just wish that people would quit trying to be the "Poetry Rule Enforcers" when commenting on peoples poetry. It's one thing to critique a poem but it's a totally different thing when some one is told that they're poem is not poetry because they used a cliche, or it doesn't rhyme just right, or it looks like a run-on-sentence.. I believe each to his own. But, folks this is just my Opinion so try to take it with a grain of salt..

Now what?

I've been out of work for the last 3 months, and money is starting to get a little tight. I've been to several temp services and the unemployment office in my area and have found nothing. Mainly because my wife works certain hours and unless I can find a way/place to make a pretty decent wage there's no point in making her change her hours or find a more suitable job and with our 2 boys it's even more difficult. So, I've started looking for online opportunities and I know this sounds surprising but I've found nothing. Well nothing that doesn't require me to pay 49.95 for the information anyway. I've even started filling out some online surveys for cash and/or entries into drawings such as "ThisSiteIsForReal.com, Vindale Research, and InboxDollars. It's ridiculous that people all over the place can make money sitting at home on there computer but I can't seem to figure out a way to do it myself. I've been racking my brain to thing of a service or some kind of information I could provide for a price. Oh well, maybe tomorrow. Just wanted to vent my frustration.

First post

Well, my boys and wife are pretty much what i'm all about. I really enjoy reading, movies, and video games of course. Weekends are pretty much a time to visit other family such as my mother and sisters. Live in a small town in Oklahoma all my life, been to Florida once that was incredibly fun. Well i suppose that's all i have for the moment. I'm sure I'll add lots of good stuff later mostly FFXI related.
